Guys im not going lie....I need a build off to fired the juices back up. All my bike building projects right now are restorations. Restorations are fun and all but I need some Rat bikes in my garage. Anyone feel the same?

I have spent the last few nights just getting every bike in my garage rideable. But I hear what you are saying. I am changing up my build off bike a bit. I am going to Moto it out.

Restorations are rewarding when finished, but it's tough to get excited about bikes when you're in the middle of resto's and you can't see light at the end of the tunnel.
Resto's are tedious, RatRods are fun and allow you to flex your creativity on a regular basis.

I too have so many ideas I want to try lately, but I have 4 restorations and 3 thorough servicings to perform on customer bikes right now. This is how "project bikes" remain project bikes for so long I guess.

I'm severely limited by a lack of funds; but in the true spirit of working with what I've got, and trying to keep my chin up, I'm trying to find a way to cobble together a super-sized sissy bar. It's just going to be until I can get a good one, or pay to have it chromed after I DIY the bending.

just finished a rat last night and rode around 11 miles so far. It's sketchy for sure, but I think I can iron out the bugs. Not done for sure though.

I am doing 3 rats right now, so don't really need a BO to get me goin. I may do the one in May, if there is one.lol

I've been building crazy bikes lately (tall, spin, swing) and the other day I aired up the tires on my build-off bike and took it out for a little fresh air, I found myself wondering if I'd enter the build off again ( I wanted to win darn it! ) Then I realized, this was a bike I'd been wanting to build and the build off gave me the motivation to finish it, as I rolled a bike out of the way that I have an idea for I decided, I'm in for the next one just so this bike can be a reality too. Until then, it's more tall bikes, haha.
