Anybody up for building a clone of Eddies Chain Bike?

Im not a welder.but my buddy IS and he owes me a ton of favors.

PAYBACK TIME!

Lemme call him up and tell him what he's in for.

I wonder if it'd be possible to build one out of different types of chain. Make the canti bars out of bicycle chain, other ones out of heavy duty chain like the Barris bike, different sizes of chain, Sissy bar out of skip-tooth chain, Then paint it black and do every other chain link red, whitewalls, street sweeper rear fender, Few twisted lowrider parts tinted black over chrome, and a diamondplate sprocket blacked out with red diamonds.

Oh man I need to build something.

Barris was contracted to do the work but Von Dutch did the actual fabrication....
mr MikeS' correct! besides....when did(GEORGE) Barris actually build something? i know sam did....but i cant seem to find anything that his brother actually built :?

Mr. Barris has a long tradition of taking credit for other people's achievements.

He usually secured contracts with the movie industry, but farmed the work out to other customizers in the SoCal area.
Eddie Munster's bike was indeed made by Kenneth 'Von Dutch' Howard. The Munster Koach and Dragula were designed by none other than Tom Daniel. 'Lil' John Buttera did the majority of the fabrication work.
Few people know that the two Eds ('Big Daddy' Roth and Newton) supplied an alternative design for the Munster Koach, based on a 1930 Packard Limousine, but Universal Studios opted for the Barris/Daniel/Buttera effort.

A lot of time Barris has been said he did KITT but he only did the the Super Pursuit & convertible modes which is weird because the SPM he has now is not even correct.

One of my fellow members at the car club I go to for 57/58 Plymouths Martin Sanchez who owns the Moochie Chaser Christine met Al Newman at Classic Wheels of Anaheim and he got to see Eddie Munsters bike back in 1983 just before he finally got his car.

So would If I could afford to get one already restored it would me cost $40.000 if I was lucky to around $75.000 and just as much to restore it, Belvedere is below that and the others lower models which can be clowned to be a Fury, another friend is John Fowlie aka BigM has a 57 Fury and there is someone with a Plum Crazy Purple Fury out there but i haven't seen it in years.

There is a guy from New Jersey that actually made a kid's tricycle and a 20 inch bike out of chain, including his show displays. here is a link to his myspace (all I can find right now)
