Kind of agree, but am willing to accept that some may have family responsibilities or something else that is hard to take time away from. The build-off may be their "Holiday" for the year... We do not know what people are dealing with away from the forum...

That being said, it is nice when people are around year round posting comments and ideas, helps everyone and the forum too!

The big build-off does push you to build a better bike than you normally would, or it does for me anyway. That is why I do the other build-offs at other times during the year, really need that extra push to get ideas built and done!

Luke.

I have been collecting parts for a build that I'm thinking may end up coming around with the right timing to be for the build off, but I'm not stressing about it. If I end up coming to that build before then, that's just the way it is.

I agree. I've had ideas and collected parts for years, but never found the time to build them. Currently trying to get a new business started, but hoping the next build off deadline will push me to get something done. :D

I've made my opinions clear several times.
To me, it's not all about a Buildoff, it's all about building bikes. No calendar or scheduled event for me. 8)
I build bikes year round but the build off gives my a chance to get out of my comfort zone and do something I may not normally do. And even tho I havent sold chantilly lace(rrbo8) yet I have lined up a repaint job on a bike one of my friends wife bought off me in the spring. She took it home and broke it down and spray painted it then realized she was in over her head and he asked if I could lace it up and put it back together again.

I would rather just be true to myself, whether it be May thru August, or this weekend. :)

I think this should be the main focus for anyone on the forum. Everyone should just stay true to their self and don't worry so much what others do or don't do or what you think their motives are or aren't.

I'll probably be in this year with a very low budget build...time to save money for an F-150

I have a previous bike I built that needs some refreshing so that'll be my start 8)

Look forward to seeing you back in the mix!!!
