Who would wrap a bike for shipping THEN take pictures?

Saw this on ebay, Not a new bike in a box - a used bike, disassembled and packed for shipping then photographed!

IDK if it is a rare bike but kinda hard to tell condition all wrapped up. Seems fishy, impossible to tell what condition bike you are buying.

I have seen this before. People do it to show how carefully the bike is packaged for shipping.

I get showing how it's been prepped for shipping, but a few 'before' shots would be prudent..

COULD be nefarious...or, it could be a flip--the seller never had it assembled to begin with. Yeah, it's weird, but not necessarily shady.

People take terrible photos for sale ads. I've seen boats where the owner couldn't be bothered to take the tarp off for the photos, RVs backed in between a wall and a fence in the pic, cars shot in the dark, etc.
Sometimes it's just comical.

More than likely the original deal the seller made with someone fell through after he had packed it for shipping. I've seen it on Ebay several times and most sellers note that the buyer backed out or something similar. They're just being lazy and should have posted the original pre packaging shots.

Not as bad as the Dyno Roadster , Dyno Taboo Tiki ,and Dyno Cruiser listings on eBay that only show catalog ad copy and a pic of the box.
