Ive had photos of my bike all over the internet, if you look for a Phat Whopper Chopper, mine comes up. I have the 1st year made, believe it was 99, have the manual, the whole 9 yards. The only changed two things, the pedals were plastic junk, replaced them with the DK Iron Crosses (try to find them today) and I respoked the rear rim to fit the 3" slick the bike truly needed. Phat was popular back then and they could answer any questions you had. They told me the reason why they didnt make them like that was it wouldnt fit. They were wrong, it fits (the chain is real close but doesnt touch it). Am I the only one on the world with a 24" rim with a 3" wide tire on it? I've had offers for the bike but..it is the ultimate chopper, hands down, i had to respoke it due to the nexus 7 speed internal hub, not removing that. If anyone has any whopper choppers, please share them with me. I posted this years ago but had no comments about the changeout. Thanks

These aren't choppers, but they show a 24 x 3 on bikes that are is normally 26 x 2.125. 3G 57mm 24" rims. The height is only 1/2 inch shorter in diameter from a regular 26" tire so as long as the frame is wide enough it works, but hand brakes won't reach the rim.
