Wich tubes will fit a 26x1 3/4 (s-7)rim/tire? I was planning on using the ones the bike came with as they're stamped original equipment and thought that was pretty cool but when I pump air into the one as I take of the bike pump hose the air begins to escape from the tube valve.

Get a Schrader valve and tool at the auto parts store, a few dollars. The short ones are preferable for bicycle tires, because you can push the stem through the rim by pushing the outside of the tire. the long ones can sometimes protrude below the stem. :|

The difference in size is very small, but just enough that you had to buy only Schwinn tires. That had to be the reason they made them a special size. They are barely larger so the standard tire won't stretch over the rim, but the tubes and rim strips will stretch. Nowadays, other tire companies make that size too, just not as wide as I like.

Thanks guys. You were right. I went to walmart and got a universal 26" bike tube then to the lbs and got the same size rim strip, slapped em all together like butt cheeks and it all fit perfect.
