Wifey gave me a bike for Christmas

I think it's a 1955 Greyhound (Sturmey 3 speed is stamped 55 11). Made in Birmingham.

It has a generator front hub, fork lock, front and rear light, and 4 Delta lights. Oh, and a pump.

Cool huh? I think I'll keep her.

Hahaha. I'll keep both.

That's the lock. I guess if I had the key it would swing into the spokes so you can't ride away with it. I've seen similar locks on the rear seat stay of Japanese bikes.

Is it a just a Robin Hood rebadged?

I would say that if this bike was a country song that song would be “I was safety when safety wasn’t cool” I would clean her as best I could get the lights all working and find a night ride. Nice! TV commercial “ Go Greyhound and leave the biking to us” Sorry it’s just the way my head works

Adjusted the brakes and took it for a 29 degree ride around the block. Was shocked to see the generator headlight works.
