So I don't really need 12 speeds and the front is a stamped double gear, yes I have others but I was wondering if I just leave the front derailer off with the right single chain ring wouldnt I have more than enough gears, I usually use only 2 or 3 gears on most multi gear bikes anyway. Guess it would be like this newer style Jaguar I saw on CL.

Should work just fine. You could try looking for a single ring up front then you would have to worry about different size chains.

That's the plan, gotta figure the right ratio's first, prob a 42 or 44 that along with the six rear gears should give me plenty of range if I needed it. Thanks !
