No one's going to see it, but what a beautiful illustration of color theory. The pink just, "ties the room together"

The exerciser part is perfect!

On those forks, I like to put thin washers between the spots where the parts move against each other, in this case where the gold meets the chrome.

Since the headtube is taller, fitting the spring may take a little "engineering" because the cage is set to work at a lower spot. A new bracket may be needed to attach the upper part of the spring to the fork tube.

So a frontal lobotomy it is!

Love the plate! I've been obsessed with 3-6-9 for years! Even the added sum of the years 67 and 68 is divisible by 3.
Wow very intriqued by the name. I have spent a few years diving in the free energy movement and Tesla's work among others.
"Sacred Numbers - Randall Carlson" is the first thing that comes to mind.

Anyway, love the name and your build so far. Great details!

The lobotomy was a success, but I now have to modify my bearing cup to accommodate the inner reinforcement plate for the frame tubing...so yeah, time for the grinder.

It's coming along, though I forgot the obligatory 'sparks' shot. Will try and remember as i finish the last bit.

"Measure twice, cut once..."

So I did! I did. Buuuuuut, you can't measure what you forget to factor.
I forgot to account for the amount of threading I would have on the steer tube once I cut the head tube. Upon assembling, I ran out of thread. This left me with a 1/8" of gap between cone and bearings 😫

Did I shoot myself in the foot?
Yes.
Was it with a stapler?
Yes. Thankfully

I just finished major surgery, and am not about to go dig out a die to cut 1/8" of threading, so time to check and adjust.

Thankfully, the bottom cone from the new fork was still waiting in the wings because I had to use the Murray one to accommodate the mod. That cone is not threaded, and by the grace of Tim Taylor, it wasn't hard-mounted to the base of the new steer tube.

2 spacers and I am back on track.

I'm going to ditch the original 'Buzz Bike Eliminator' chainguard, and put on 'The Wild 1'.

A. Because 'Buzz Bike Eliminator' is too darn long of a name.

B. 'Buzz Bike' is the least muscle-bike sounding name.

C. It ties in much better with the monster theme.

Going to roll with a 20/20 wheel set. The 20/16 is cool, but will sit too low for my liking. Might have worked (proportionally) with a 26" springer fork, giving it a long chopper feel, but...maybe next time.

I might still try a 20/16 mockup toward the end, just to see. 🤔

Blood? (Grease) and sparks! Great build!

Ok, time to reveal my build inspiration!

Though the license plate inspired the name, and Winona Ryder has been in some monster-esque projects (Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, Stranger Things), she is not my muse.

It all started with a keychain...
THIS keychain.
