so i have come upon yet another issue i hope is nothing more then just bad luck
but here goes,.
in nebraska it has gotten a lot cooler lately (down to the 30's and today is 27 degrees)
and with this comes a problem i am not familiar with.
now normally tires expand in heat and deflate in cooler weather so here.s my brain picker
3 of my bikes im restoring have popped their tires in my shed.
where i figured this is just a issue of bad tires i also discovered my genesis 29 er to have the same problem
it too has exploded it's front tire.
i do not know what is causing this so i ask my fellow rrber's have you had such an issue or is it just me?
thanks
Sean

Possums and similar animals like salty things if you have either driven on salty roads or sweated near the tires that is a possibility. I had a donkey who ate a banana seat right down to the pan on one bike. Never thought about him popping the tires too, but they were flat...

i suspected critters as well
i have had this problem before at my old house with a shrew but ym cat took care of him needless to say
i have been looking but haven't found anything. other then a few rabbits made a nest under my sheds floor.
plus my onex stays inside and that tire failed as well.
that's why im confused as to whats causing it.
i am gonna inspect the tries tomorrow and see if i can find the cause.
my only other thought is my dog is chewing them but i have yet t find proof. i have an akita so if he was eating them there be big marks.
it's a brain picker but i will figure it out eventually.
im wondering if i didn't run over something in the street that ate away my tires as well?

i shall figure it out lol.
thanks for sharing
sean
