Carl what do you use to protect the metal after you have stripped them bare?
I have used metal varnish, but it goes a tint yellow?
H20 base varnish wouldnt last(i dont think) as I am surround by seasalt...

Well, the mongoose is really chrome, so that don't count...
Fruit Krate is due for paint...
I have plans for the Duster. Top Secret til the WBO...
The last bike I built was Little Neutrino, and not really bare but
coated with Minwax wood stain, oil based Walnut.
So... I dunno. Anything oil based should work but will color some.
All the vintage guys tout Boiled Linseed Oil...

Fruit Krate is getting back on track!
Ordered the sissy bar and seat post to lift the rider up to adult height.
Finalized the paint color = Orange (Krate)
Red seat, green chain guard, and purple grips?

Parts to find: Handle Bars, stem, and grips. White decal set.
Possibles: 20x1 3/8 front rim and tire, rear fender

Sold a guitar and repaired another for someone else. Made a little cash and won some handlebars off eBay. Seat post and sissy bar went on Friday... bare metal mockup when the handlebars arrive then disassembly for paint.

Taking off soon for a 4 day spiritual retreat.
I'm the music cha, playing acoustic guitar...
I started to pull away and saw this...

Bye Dad...

Carl.

Crazy looking bike...

Luke.
You really think so? Hmm, I thought it was kinda tame.
My son is 6'1" and I'm a flat 6', we both fit this bike fine.
I think that's kinda cool considering it's a 64', the smaller Stingray.
The bent 26" fork weighs enough to keep the front end down,
but it'll wheelie easy enough...
Paint and the wheelie bar are all that's left for this Muscle Bike.
Quality upgrades down the road, as money allows.

Carl.
