It's one of those wine stoppers that come with the fancy cork pullers. I used one just like it on my Firewing helmet.
Rigged up a front bracket out of another piece of bed metal.
Also figured out a possible place for the headbadge.

Well all if the main work is done with the build now. I have completely disassembled the bike.
Now I need to start prepping everything for paint.

I got some help identifying where my tank bezel came from. One person had this pic of their 62 Higgins ladies bike. This is only photo that I have been able to find that has the same bezel that I have. It's been fun tracking down the origins of mine. I'm just glad that mine goes so well with Elgin Twin shrouds and Chicken Noodle Soup. Mmmmmm Mmmmmm Good!!!!

My fingers are already cramped up from sanding.
Maybe they were a one year only thing. So many of the bezels are plastic chrome, but this thing is beefy pot metal.
Did you decide if you were going to do the seaside color? Thats the color used on the destino but go for it, i agree on your bike it would work

I thought that might be the same color. Yes, that is going to be the main color on the frame and skirts. I can't wait to see it with the red wheels and whitewalls. It looks great on Destino!
Somone posted up a fuzzy pic of a men's version of the Higgins that my tank bezel came from.
Hmmm, I think I have not Higgins in my garage right now in a turquoisey color. Need to have it reassembled for the bike party this weekend also. So much work, so little time.
