As someone whose gateway into the Rat Rod Bikes scene was a 1950 Schwinn DX, I look forward to seeing you breathe new life into that old Schwinn. The patina on that bike is right!
Given the curviness of the frame, I feel like either the Evans Colson or the Beehive springer would be best for this bike. That black springer fork is undeniably cool, but it has more of a "1920s straight-tubed board track racer" vibe to me.
Rode my OCC Stingray XL around the neighborhood for a few laps this evening before it got dark and the weather got ugly. Covered the bare seat pan with a bunch of socks, mop heads and a tank top. Man I love riding this thing! Can't wait to ride it further once I get the brakes fixed!
After looking over my collection of bikes and thinking it over, I've decided not to enter the Build Off this year, at least until further notice.

Thank you! I just wish we had swap meets like this in or near Tulsa, Oklahoma. If I want to hit a good bicycle swap meet, I have to drive roughly 3 hours away from home, and out-of-state.
