I'm in the market for a new bike and have narrowed it to the Trek Pure or Electra Townie. Looks like can get into either model for about 500. I'm just looking for a comfortable ride with 3 or more gears......Anyone have opinions on which is better? Thanks for any info you have.

Hi Guys.... I need some advice. I'm thinking about taking the wheels along with associated gears, levers, cables off of this bike http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product. ... id=8399257 and putting them on a 70's Murray frame. Is this pretty easy to do or would there be a lot of headaches...

thanks for the info. unfortunately mine are past the 6-month mark too. I orderd them in December. I feel the same way about the company. I got the stuff fast, but wasnt impressed with the quality.

it's pretty squirrely, but I dont think it's from the offset engine. The short wheel base, semi-high bars, and 6.5 hp on it make it a real handful. It's fun as heck though.

yes, the brake arm is attached to the rear stays. They dont make any noise while riding. Only when braking. not sure what brand....I bought them new here: http://www.bicycledesigner.com/defaulth ... %20coaster Thanks guys!

ok, cool...I'll take a look at it closer. I'm sure I can figure it out and get some grease in there. I have a friend that does powdercoating, so I opted for that instead of paint. My bike is done in "Jeans Metallic" and my wife's is in "Lime Green" with a silver sparkle top coat. Her coating...

I bought the rear wheel and hub already assembled. Does the hub come apart or is there some way to get grease IN it or should I just get some on the outside? not sure what you mean about the forks.....they're both the same forks, just stripped and powdercoated.
