Did you have any trouble with clearance on the rear of the cwc? Trying to fit a 24x3.0 kenda flame on a cwc and it keeps slightly rubbing the chain stays on each side.
Just picked this up today, Roadmaster with a western flyer chain guard and someone had glued western flyer badges on both the head tube and the seat tube.
I ran the serial numbers on the startlet III last night and it's a 1967,has "schwinn superior" tires which I'm assuming are original. Also just for kicks I popped open the headlight and there were no batteries inside and it was clean as a whistle.
Got these the other day from a co-worker. Typical barn find status, flat tires and covered in an inch of dust, but both should clean up nicely. The starlet appears to be complete and all original, compared to a brochure picture I saw online.
I have one that was badged trophy, the one in the foreground which I put together for my girlfriend,it's the first one I've seen in person. It actually has the aluminum chain ring as well, which is odd. The one in background is my '47 rocket.
Picked this up today off of cl and it was right down the street from me. Also ended up taking home an old exercise bike that was also in the garage that had some good parts on it. My guess is early 60's and it has the rat trap springer on it plus the front rack.
