Got the Huffy bike for $50 from a friend. Repainted the frame a flat pink and the wheels a nice blue. New tires, tubes, bigger bars, new grips and seat. I bought some chrome fenders online, but they are to wide. I might try to fabricate them to fit in the near future. I want to add a rear basket...

OK, so I took my bike a rather long ride today to get a good feel for it. Well, I gotta say, I loved all the attention I got. I was getting thumbs up and honked at a lot! LOL. BUT, it is clear to me that the huge ape hangers are just way to big. I never felt completely in control and always had...

I ended up redoing the paint in the spots that were chipping. Then layer down two cans of matte clear. Hopefully that will work. (If I am careful).

It is a Good Vibrations model. ANd it is for my girlfriend, not my daughter;)

Actually, NO.. lol. The tires are dry rotted out, and the seat has a few scuffs. But, it rides true and smooth. Trying to search the old threads for a ladies bike "Show me", but I can't find one. I need idea's.

Should be fun trying to make a cool chick bike. I am thinking adding some baby blue (her fav color) rims and maybe going with a white seat, new bars and white grips. Or maybe tan leather.. Maybe to a rack on the back and strap an old wine box to it for her purse or whatever if we go out bar hopping.

Yeah, so my girl really digs my bike, and now she wants me to build her one so we can cruise together.. I accepted the challenge and picked this old Huffy up today for $50.

I think I am going to build a leather chain guard for it. I saw one here and it would look great on my bike. I love the idea's on this sight!

Yeah I wiped it down with paint thinner before hand. I guess I just didn't use a paint that was good for aluminum.. Stupid mistake I overlooked..
