about the paint... I am baffled! The paint is really old and there is no paint under the chipping, so It looks original; however, there is paint on the bearing cups and some overspray on the wheel adjuster screws, which makes me think it is a respray? I have not seen another schwinn with the same paint theme. I would love to see if there is another bike with the same paint.

That bike was made and sold in the pits of the depression. Money was super tight. They probably paid for it with chickens and firewood! :shock: I can't believe you found a tank for that thing so quick. Gary
