1934 Silver King Give Away (Pictures update 11-19-10)

A friend of mine and myself have decided to build a bicycle for a guy that we have known for some time now. This gentleman (who will remain un-named) could build his own bike but is so busy doing for others that he has not taken the time to do so. I do not think he gets on this site, but if he does and he finds this post he knows who he is.

So if you are reading this.... Yes, we have gotten tired of you eye-ballin our bikes and hinting that we should just give you one of them... so, we are building you one. Unless, you want to keep riding that Molton of yours.

This frame was fairly beat up when we got it... This is the reason for the prime coat... to find the high and low spots from all the dents. The lower tube was bent all to heck and I was able to work my magic and get it smoothed out. Then sprayed a coat of gloss paint on it to see how it would look painted.

This bike is getting blacked out... Gloss black frame, satin black wheels, etc.... We are going for as little chrome as possible... Just enough to add a little accent.

For those of you who may know who this is going to... mums the word....

I think all that is left to find are a good set of pedals and a seat.... Just got the chainring last night, wheels are on order, fork is up in the air... we are either going to make a custom one or i was thinking of ordering one from Felt.... Not sure yet.

Work that was completed today: Billy is a hard worker! Initial mock up complete! I think we are ready for some paint! 8)

New bits... Frame went out for powdercoating today... Thick bricks are on order and all black wheels are being built today....

Wheels and tires done!!!!! Have a local pinstriper on board to donate some lines once frame is back from powdercoat!!!

Tough to beat a black tire/rim combo.

Top notch build for what sounds like a good guy.
