This is my first build here, and i'm doing it with my 11 year old son. We picked up a 24" Columbia frame at the Long Beach swap.

The Columbia parts came from the 'bay, all in one auction, from a 24" girls bike. We are using everything but the tank (won't fit) and the seat (wrong color).

The rest is getting cannabalized from a girl's 24" Murray Cruiser.

The fork tube was too long, so my LBS cut it shorter and threaded it down farther so it would fit the Columbia's short head tube. For comparison, the forks on the left are stock length, the one on the right is the one that was shortened. Although they are 26" and 24", the head tubes on the Murrays are the same length.

Here's a mockup shot with his 24" Huffy. I think he's gonna like the Columbia more when we're done.

Bike is looking GOOD.............I just lengthened A steering tube. I wish I could've shorten it instead, would been easier. :lol:
