Lunchtime pick up today from the original owner.

She claimed this is how the bike came from the dealer, but I checked the bars and they are stamped 69 and she remembers getting the bike in 1969, but the frame is stamped as a Dec. 1965 bike.

Lil Chik's would have had a small polo seat and short bars. Regardless, I prefer this seat and bars over the originals so I'm glad they changed it out.

One of my daughters was wanting a banana seat bike so this is it.

I'm picturing it was a trade in at the old bike shop back in the day when the kid out grew it and the shop swapped parts out to replace the bigger kids bike they just sold

Want those wheel inserts now ? Somebody needs to use them

Not that it really needed it....but I applied a little magic Texas water this evening.

The wheel set on this bike is the cleanest I've ever seen...

Ok. Seriously, what is your secret to getting these bikes so dang clean?

Maybe you should start selling bottled Texas rat rod water so we can all enjoy having nice looking bikes.

I realize bikes need a little TLC but your bikes look brand new after a Texas bath.
