Went for a short ride into downtown. There were actually a couple rain drops at one point.

The bike is a 1946-7 Murray built (most likely a JC Higgins) with a Schwinn lightweight fork and an old 27" front wheel. Front fender is from the rear of a Raliegh. Rear fender is a pair of cheap chrome fenders. Rear wheel is a random modern cruiser until I re-lace my painted drop centers onto my 1963 Bendix single speed.

A frankenstein if I ever saw one.

Cool lookin cruiser ! i like the big back fender , frame looks just like a monark rocket.

The frame is an odd bird. It has rear mounting dropouts in the rear and no chain tension screws.

I ended up getting quite a few comments about the bike on the ride also. Far more than I have with any of my others (or previous versions of this one).
