We are working on and taking pictures while building The Little Orange Trike (adult sized) with the Sears and Roebuck Back and a Schwinn Hollywood front.

I"m grateful that the love of my life, LowpowerD, is a machinist. He makes metal fall to it's knees.

Not only are we actually putting the frame and back together and the paint job and all the marvelous things you men and women do. I'm also going to be applying my fiber arts love on it as well :D

Here's my "concept drawing" I did on Photoshop of how it will possibly look at the end.

thats gonna be great! are you using the fuzzy type yarn? was just thinking it might be hard to keep it clean... :(

I'm going to use Worsted Weight Acrylic yarn I saved for some reason like this at a garage sale on the trike.. So it should be rather washable. Using natural fibers might be a gamble at rewashing.. Due to possible accidental felting and washing machines aren't very friendly.

From my research when it came to the skirt covers, they do pretty well with not getting dirty since they won't be touching the tires at all due to the angle of them being attatched to the fender.

And If they do I just unhook the bull dog clips attached to the fenders and a big O ring stick them in the washing machine ready to go again :D

It got to the second page, I guess its time to put pictures up :D

LowpowereD and I decided we wanted to see if it was physically possible to actually join the front end of the Schwinn Hollywood and the Sears And Roebuck trike back end together. So we decided to photo journal it.

Schwinn Hollywood was pretty enough herself. But this is not what I wanted. I wanted a Super Trike

It appears not to be as difficult when I braced the Hollywood frame still as he gently tapped the sears and roebuck around it. We are going to make double brackets at the top instead of the single and obviously tighten the bolts significantly more. But we were satisfied and it gave us sucessful future that it was indeed capable to combine the sears and roebuck (as I would like to say the fakie) onto a beautiful frame.

A change of the handle bars to ape hangers and a seat and a little bright orange color here and there and she'll be almost too good to ride. SUPER TRIKE!!

LiL orange Trike is a little shorter than my Town And Country, but inflated tires and taller handle bars will fix that.

The Fenders will need some dramatic tlc, we'll probably get newer replacements.

But thats what we have done so far.. Now to completely take it into all the little pieces it used to be in factory and replace some bearings and use some liquid wrench and things will be back together painted like it just came from the store in no time.
