Anyone seen these? They look pretty awesome by my eye, and having an electric that would do 26 mph is something I would definitely use A LOT. But they start at $3700 and go up from there pretty quick when optioned out.

Not something I could fab up myself but that entry cost is too dear. I'll check the used market in a few years I suppose.

They are expensive. One of the Slow Spokes DFW members has bad knees, and owns 2 electric bikes. He pedals along with us and hits the button when he needs a boost.

My wife's bike has a very basic electric kit that I picked up from a member here. I chose to buy new batteries for it to improve the performance, but it works pretty good. She uses it to keep up with me, as she can't otherwise. I'll be buying her a new, better set up soon, and building a new bike to go with it. It's a good investment for us.
