Another friend of mine found this at an auction. We're not sure what it is. The fork isn't right. It has wood wheels, a New Departure "A" hub, no decals or headbadge. The seat is alittle stiff but in good shape. soooooo what do you think it is?

It is a bicycle. To be more specific a very cool old bicycle with some neat parts. Love the gooseneck.

that is a nice looking rat bike. as i am new to bikes and parts, this is the first time i actally see "wooden wheels" on a bike. it has lots of potential imo.

LAWN ART... based on how that seat is attached to the frame. No human ever rode that bike like that. Cool find..let me know if you want to sell the seat!

Cheers!

Brad

It is definatly pre-1930's. I have the same exact sprocket on my 1926 Hartford (Columbia made) (mine has new wood rims too), but i also have seen that same sprocket on a 1917? i think it was, Overland bike that looked to be all original. FYI if you plan to actually ride it, i know where you can get new italian made wood 700c clincher rims. They use standard tires, and tubes. The tubular, lace up rims are a pain, and all of the bike shops i've talked to won't touch them. And the lace up tires are like $400!!!
