Hey Guys thought I would share this with y'all I wrote this a while back and figured you would get a kick out of it. Any one else here beside me write poetry?

i am a bikebum
this much is true
with two wheels i will
always be free
the open road calls to me
when i am down
whether motor or pedal
whatever powers you
this much is true
we share the same
call for the open road
the call to freedom
for sure
opens our hearts
frees our souls
which ever you ride
this much is true
we share the same
bond for the open road
you can put me in
a car but
will never be the same
maybe except for a Stang
you can take me off the bike
but never the bike
away from me
i will always be
a bikebum
forever
ride to live live to ride
the motto of bikers
everywhere

I have a Huffy bicycle, it's painted solid black. It eats cheap wheels like hamburgers, especially the back.
bravo!!!

"Cruiser's are red' Huffy's are blue, I have lots of old bikes that I just cant tell the hue, rust on the spokes bought some from old folks alot of them have a story or two, I would love a bike with a tank, and there are people I would thank, if they could lead me to the barn with a few....

Ode to the Bike

A scraped chain guard,
a slightly bent rim.
Rubber grips with holes in the ends.
A broken reflector, a cool license plate.
A love for two wheels, whose miles are unknown.
The joy of a boy only 8 years old.

Good one JT

Here's another one I did called it Journey of the soul

the road she whispers
to me ride and be free
following the long winding
ribbon of black to points
unknown the journey
to free the soul
one with the road
one with the bike
the two become one
a journey to share
with the one you love
a journey to go on your own
most of all a journey to discover
things unknown follow the
mother road let her breath
new life in your heart and soul
let her whisper to you
follow your soul
the sound of the road is all
you need to know
let her free your mind and soul
follow the mother road
give her love she will free your soul
the whisper of the road

Okay, let's have a contest to see who is the BEST poet. (Won't be me! :( ) Winner will be declared RatRodBikes Poet Laureate of the Year. Gary

there once was a guy named jon
he piled old bikes on his lawn
the pile got too big
his girl flipped her lid
now jons ole lady is gone

To have been born human has only one flaw
I long to stretch out my arms like a scarlet macaw
that's why I ride, with the wind in my hair
sun shining down without a care
a feeling of free fall with my wheels on the ground
pedaling faster my soul is unbound
a break from reality a sensation so real
the songs of nature surround my zeal
diving swiftly steering left and right
I'm a bird soaring swiftly while riding my bike...
