Ballooner flaps

My question is are mudflaps designed to go inside the fender or outside. On my DX I have them on inside and they kind of get deformed. I saw a picture of them mounted on outside and it didn't look bad. Just wondering if I'm doing them wrong or if it even matters?

I thought they went on the inside, but I'm not sure.

I always put them on the inside, mainly because you can use the reflector screw to hand it with on the rear. I don't think there is a wrong or right way though, just a preference thing.

Hey Rudd. Ya mine are all inside. Just wanted to hear some opinions as some flaps look even like they go on outside.

Throw up a picture of what you're running and how it looks. I know the flaps for our replicas have some issues with the jewel section popping off. I'm thinking of ways to prevent this.
