started with this cranbrook, it was a girls cruiser that I added a top bar and add 5 in. behind the BB. Rode it for about a yr. like this then desided to redo the whole thing. Buddy had to show me how to post pic. been done for about a month.
started the rebuild by adding 6in to the front forks just cut the legs off from a 16in kids bike
cut the ends off my forks all lined up ready to weld'em together
legs done now to clean up welds
all cleaned up bracing added
here are the wheels I ordered 26x2.25 rear and 24x1.25 for the front
here is the crank and sprocket OG crank from cruiser with sprocket from 16in bike painted VHT burnt copper
started my frame mods wanted it low so I started by sitting the frame on a ammo can liked the look so desided 7in below the BB was good. added 8in behind BB rebent rear stays and layed seat post back some and bent rear stays up so I could weld it back together
all stripped and new top bar bent and welded in
got the forks painted just had to see what they looked like!
frist coat of primer
all primed ready to sand and paint
all painted! paint is VHT burnt copper
putting it all back together
sportting apes at this point was undesided if thats the bars I wanted
swithed to OG sprocket and a pair of OCC bars still unsure
desided on these BMX style bars
Here it is done endded up switching to a 26in front tire very happy with it rides great just got to be careful on turns not to drag the pedals! I did build a kick stand for it too.
Let me know what you all think!
