Cantilivered question

Howdy,

What is the diameter/size of the metal rods on a cantilever bike frame? I have an idea for a kustom bike frame that would use this style as a starting point. I'm not going to be hacking up an original frame, but scratch building everything except the BB and maybe the actual seatpost/seat.

Which metal rods? The actual cantilever? They're different for every manufacturer.

My canti has no rods, but is comprised of 5/8" rear tubing and 1 3/8" front tubing.

Thanks,guys I didn't know if it was tubing or solid metal rods. Like I said, I didn't have an old bike to look at and I was not going to be cutting up an old bike just to find out.
