Me and my son Abram set out to build him the "coolest bike ever". It is a 24" 1970 Murray Space Flite. We wanted to give it that old school chopper look with a small fat tire on the back and a tall skinny tire on the front. We added the rear wheel from a Jesse James West Coast Chopper 20" x 3" FAT!!! A "lucky 7" seat post was used to lower the seat and move it back several inches. Everything was switched on this bike except the goose neck and the chain guard. The blue fenders are temporary until I get some chrome fenders for it.
Now, whether it really is the "coolest bike ever" or not is not important. What IS important is that MY SON thinks it's the coolest bike ever...and he helped build it! It was great to spend some QT with my son on this project!
Unfortunately, as usual, I was in too big of a hurry to take any "before" pictures. Here it is nearly complete.
