A five dollar yard sale 94' Diamondback with a unique frame, and coaster brake!! One of the crank pedal threads was stripped out and the owner wasn't interested in fixing it. Well, thank you...I'll fix it !!
My son has been in need of a bike, so I cleaned up the wheels, bars, bearings etc. I sanded the black powder coat down with 320 and sprayed frame and fork with Dupli-Color metal etch primer. It has a real nice soft green/gray look to it, and it dries very hard. The scallop on the frame & fork with Dupli-Color red caliper paint. New parts are; Oury grips, red Kenda street tires and tubes, dice caps, 165 cheap crank, 36T Lucky Seven sprocket, and red chain. The pedals and Vetti seat came on my Collegiate yard sale find. I recovered the seat with some VW red seat vinyl I had left over.
He's lovin it!!!! 8)
