This is not new but I thought I'd post something BMX.
A while back my friend dropped a box full of bike parts off. He tells me to "make it ridable". I had free-range when it came to paint scheme and parts. He knew he wanted yellow in there somewhere. The scheme is yellow, white, and matte black! So I got to work.

After I stripped, painted, and preped everything for paint I shot the frame with 5 coats of yellow.

I'm sorry I don't have many pictures inbetween but you can get what I did.
After I got all the paint on I did some personalizations for him. Now I'm not the best and drawing or writing but it was a try.
PABCO is the name of our bicycle "business"

This part is to the stem and was all black so I painted the outline of the DB to make it pop.

This is the original seat and it had this logo that I liked so I put it on the bike

He requested his name or initials on it so why not the handlebars.

This was about the fifth bike I've redone myself including paint. I think it came out well and he loves it! I even got complimented by his father.
Here he is enjoying it

Re: '87 Diamondback BMX

thats no 87' db buddy... thats more like a 2007.. 87 would be probably a looptail or just starting to get into the split stays with the 4 rear tubes instead of the looptail..
i had an 83 db and it was a looptail..
the fatt downtube on that db is a dead give away that its a mid school frame.. maybe a 97 at oldest but i think thats a 2007'
i saw the same bike infront of a pawn shop once, it was kinda funny though they had it tagged as an 'PK Ripper'

oh well, it looks nice anyways man :)

here was an 02' mongoose i rebuilt once..
i ended up saleing it to one of my friends while back..

I didn't bother to search it. I'm just going by what my friend told me. So I really have no clue.

Re: '87 Diamondback BMX

And that's a nice bright mongoose. What kind of rear tire do you have on there? Looks just like one I go dirt riding with.

I like that picture riding by the school (that is a school, isnt' it?). My son and his friends ride around their school quite a bit.
Yep it is. It's the local elementary school, Has a few good spots.

Nice to see them in action! You can check out my 1982 Diamondback, search for RRBMX in builds. It's an example of a looptail frame.
