Got the bike repacked and put back together. Replaced the grip shifter with a trigger shifter. Replaced the brake pads, cables and housings. Replaced the shift cable and housing. Found a seat and grips I like, but had already done white cable housings so I plan on changing those to black. Just need a bulb for the rear light and remount it. The tires are weather checked but will work for now. It's a solid heavy bike. Overall very pleased with it.

Went and looked at, but won't be picking them up until Monday. 3 very interesting ones I have to do some research on. One I'm just not sure who made it, no head badge and the quick picture of the serial number was too blurry.

1st up is this 20" skip tooth Girls Hawthorne.

2nd one is really interesting. It's a Collegiate, but I do not believe it's a Schwinn.

This one is the one that the picture I took of the serial number was too blurry for me to make out.

This one we haven't talked about yet, but I'm confident I'll be owning it as well.

I got just the wheel, no bike and I've never seen this brake arm or the cog with the holes all the way around it.

I had to hurry out the door to get to work on time so I didn't have time to get pictures of everything. Lots of nos parts for hubs, brakes etc. 5 other bikes I did have time for pictures of.
It's going to be a long 2 days.

So, after some cyberspace poking around found the Collegiate is a 1939-1941 Elgin. That the Airman break arm is a Spiegel mail order catalogue part for the Airman bike.

And I ran out of time and fell asleep before I did much investigation on the Hawthorne.
