I've been searching alibaba.com for bikes and motorkits. A dude repping a particular manufacturer said that some of these chopper bikes start at about 60.00 per unit. Not bad but they wanted me to buy 150 units. I really don't need that many. I noticed that most of these bikes are selling for about 250.00 so I'd guess they're making about 75-100 profit after cost, shipping, and import fees.
