Looks great out in the light . I didn't notice the legs on the rack that cool . Never was really a cycle truck fan , until now this one in a league of its own . Nice work [emoji1303][emoji1303]

Yeah, it really did come together. The only thing I would change is the horn. Somehow it just doesn't fit the rest of this really 'tight' build.

I'm thinking some kind of an 'air horn' would be appropriate for this 'truck'....:wink1:

Wow.
VERY nicely done! I said it before, but it really looks like something you would find in an upscale bike shop. :41:

I was reluctant to bring it up, but since OJ said it first, I was also thinking that the horn seems out of place with the modern look and feel you've got going on. I'm thinking some classy looking bell would be nice.

Another possibility would be the brake levers that I used on my bike last year that has the bell integrated into it.

Ill have to agree on this , when i did the mount for the horn , did not imagine it would end up at that angle..
but the horn is a nesessity , its very loud , yet not quit enough , on my ride today i had to honk Many time for people to get out the way , a bell would not cut it ..
Eveything on the bars including bars are things i want to upgrade yes , i can't find a shifter that fits with the wide flange grips:oops: the shifter at the moment is lower on the bars cause the darn cable was not long enough.

the ride went well crossing the city today. carried a small load ,beers, lunch, icepacks, tools and picked up a 6foot 2x4'' i found on my way back .. cant pass free materials

I'll bet they got out of the way when they turned around and saw this rig closing in.

Already trash pickin' with it. That's some great functionality there. Still can't believe you made a cycle truck look so good. You would have a hard tome convincing me that was home made if I hadn't seen the build. Very well done!

wow really ? even the cup is cracked ... i Blame Montreal streets for this one :bigboss:

DSCN6729_zpssgukedix.jpg

The frok was a ease fix , just cut & paste a stronger tubing in there
this one is about 3mm thick
DSCN6731_zps7lp30xbc.jpg

found a new bearing cup that visually looks way stronger, and it even fit my head tube perfectly without a shim like the other one , still have to find out if it fits the bottom race, cause its the only 1 1/8' i have at hand i think .. for the frame , not really sure how iam gonna fix that , i cant go wider than what the head is at the moment cause the rack fit tightly on the sides of it .. yep , short live pride :tmi:
ill get over it and the bike should be on the road in few days
Harder Better Faster

Aw man, my heart breaks for you man, but you seem to have a solution in the works pretty quickly.

I love the looks of the frame by the way. It's make you wonder, is that a CWC frame? No wait is it a RUFF frame? Ah, it's a 1HP frame!!! :113:

Bet of luck with the repair!!

You're taking this much better than I would've! I'm sure that you'll work it out.
well its my first try at making a bike , i take it good considering all the other things that could of gone wrong attemting this , i consider it as ''not that big of a deal'' , glad i catch it before making a other haul :whew:

i have a idea for how to repair this , ill be on this tomorrow

I wonder if you could find a set of sealed bearing that will fit the cups ? It will make the steering smoother & tighter and should add some extra strength because it will take up some play between the cups & tube .

Great idea!

What would be great too (if i had acess to a metal lathe) is if i could make a supper strong bearing cup that fit ''over and in it'' the head tube like a sandwish:bigsmile: :nerd: :43:

I did this on a klunker I built the cups were very thick & the bearings were just a hair to big so I ground down the cups a little with a die grinder and it worked great ! O so smooth too [emoji232]
I had a 1" thread less head set I took the bearings from .

I've missed a lot of updates on this.
Bike looks great, I'm sure you'll get the head tube squared away. And I agree with you, first frame build and all that happened was a slight bend in the head tube. Could have been much worse, but looks like the frame is sturdy.

Just a reminder for everyone, he's only been welding a few months.:41:

Was thinking the same thing. Heavy duty cup with some cartridge bearings cranked down nice and snug.

I'm sure you'll get it sorted though 1hp.

finished putting the bike back togetter in time to test the bike again ,going watch an outdoor movie/documentry about Giuseppe Marinoni on the far end of town (it was a great movie!)
