Got this one from a buddy said it was his dads and his dad also repainted it to not to bad of a job if you ask me

Dave! This is a postwar bike! The Cw stamp is only found on postwar Cleveland Welding built bikes and was first used in the latter half of 1947 to separate bicycles built at that time from previous CWC built model that used the same base serial numbers. Your bike is an early "Cw" stamped model, it dates to circa late 1947 and could generally be considered a "1948" model.
