I needed to ask for some input on raising up a fender support.
I am raising the fender in the rear to get some clearance for a slick tire. What can I do to add a 1" extension to raise up the fender? I was thinking of bolting on a metal extension to the frame and then the fender support gets bolted to the metal piece that was added.
Thanks.

What fenders/bike/wheels are you running? I might have a cleaner idea
..

If you're running fat fenders on 24s, you might just grab this:

If it's on 20s,just get the 24" version.

$3, factory-loook.

**EDIT- I just saw from your other post that this is a 20" Spyder. Here's a link to the 24" fender strut:

even better; just $1.58!!

Thank you for the tip. What I am trying to do, is keep the original fender supports and add a filler piece to bolt to the frame where the support mounts to the frame and then the fender support is mounted on top of the filler piece.
I actually did it today. I took two P-clamps, flattened them and drilled the correct hole size. It worked.
The tire I put on is a 20 X 2.125 and it clears but not by much. It's pretty close.
What I think would be better is to find a short rear fender. The fender on the Spyder bike sits lower in the stock position
to fit a 20 X 1.175 tire.
Please keep the suggestions coming. Thanks.
