How much clear do you use?

I'm wondering how much clear coat people use when painting their bikes, that means, using spray paint... stripped all the way down, primered, base coats, then how much clear?
How long do you let the base coat dry before applying the clear, then how long after the clear is dry do you assemble?
I just want as durable and nice of a paint job as I can get, and I'm sure people here have experiance.

One spray can of clear with usually cover a bike, rack, fenders and chainguard two coats. Maybe 1 & 1/4 cans if you spray heavy.
