Thanks, I need to fine tune mounting of the LEDs. For realism I was thinking gray or black at the visible inside area of pipes.

Good thinking. Red may look like you're matching the bike color.

Cleaned up the drive train parts today, crank, bottom bracket cups, bearings, cones, washers, nut, chainring. I also experimented a bit with where to mount the shifter.
I robbed a Brooks B67 saddle from another bike which had been delegated to non use. It improves the vibe.

Added "hood" ornament to light.

Experimenting with shifter location and installed crank.

So many grip choices and only two bar ends to cover...choices, choices.

Added a chain today. Not room to move forward or to rear. I'll need to add a larger cog at rear to remove chain sag.

After mocking up around 5 different shifter locations I finally settled on the left side of seat post. After some test sitting and simulated pedaling I cut and fitted the cable. I need to get some different wire ties.

I also put on the running lights and chain. I'm going to change out the rear cog to remove the sag.

I decided to paint the outer reflector plate on the pedals. In taking them apart I found one was broken and fell apart.

I took apart some cheap tag reflectors which seem to fit OK, problem solved.

Waiting on paint to dry.

No drama here, just finished pedals. I had these on a 33 Rollfast but changed them out. I also have a couple of other options but I'll see how these look installed.

I also put a recycled B67 saddle on and the rack which I think I'll leave as chrome. Tried to sell the rack at a swap meet a while back but I didn't want to give it away, so here it is.

I mounted the header lights in tank. I put a strip of duct tape over mounting area. Made a hole in center header mount hole and taped two LEDs together for each one and controlled the depth. Then I secured each pair of light wires with tape to the inside tank surfaces. Fairly crude but this is a rat rod. I forgot to take a photo prior to putting it back on bike. Here us one of the basic platform.

Also put the pedals on, raining here so photo is dark.

Next up involves wiring of tail light and tank lights to cookie press with battery packs. Should have the larger cog this week to tighten up the chain.

I have never seen the pair next to the wooden and man they look cool! Are they around?
They are a Nirve product. They are machined aluminum "Diamond Cut Grips" with three set screws to lock them on. That's the pair my wife selected to use on iAM HIGGINS out of the group.

Very cool. I have a throttle so they would not work but I have never seen them before and I sure they will look gooooood!

I've been tinkering with the "cookie press" battery compartment. Things just barely fit. After making wiring connections I cut a epdm insulator to fit over switch in bottom.

Next up was fitting the battery packs into press, hopefully they will come out when it's time to change batteries.
