This is my bike as it sits in its current incarnation. I have some changes needing to be made and still some parts to go on, but I had to have it running for tour de fat which was last saturday, and as a result my friend had a camera for the picture taking. Here's a stock photo of how it started life:

It is a GT Jetstream Hybrid commuter bike; mens 22" frame (roughly 56cm)

I ditched the "comfort seat"and seat post, flipped and chopped the bars, dropped the 700C tires and put some 26" wheels with some Schwinn Typhoon tires (gained by a friend who I gifted a set of nirve flower tires). When going to the new rear wheel I lost my smallest gear, and I really wish I hadn't as the bike isn't quite as fast as I'd like; 26mph per an on campus speed camera/warning display. Having said that, the rear brake needs to be thrown away and I need to go to a disc brake setup. The wheel size meant I had to put on the current side pull brakes;however, squeezing as hard as I can, it takes a good 30-40ft to stop from 15-20mp. I can not even skid the tire on dirt, there's just not enough leverage to be had. I'm working on a springer fork, I need to adapt the steer tube as the steer tube is an inch too short to put it on the bike (you can see the head tube is quite long on this bike). I also have a set of nirve shorty fenders waiting to go on, they too need some dremel work in order to fit. Then after that is lights front and rear.

And one more pic. Its debut at Tour de Fat Fort Collins 2008. Complete with trailer in tow.

EDIT: for some reason the image tags aren't working on this post. I'm using the correct code. Sorry for the click trip.

Fixed your pics. this is what the code should look like minus the brackets on either end. I think you may of copied the wrong url location.

Muddywater, thanks for the compliment! It is at this point a bit of a bolt together, and I know how those tend to be regarded here; however, I do have some welding and chopping yet to do. And more importantly the bike is what I had envisioned. :D
