Krate Pogo Seatpost

The 1968 Krates had them, but they caused a lot of side to side motion at the back of the seat, causing the sissy bars lower clamps to break, so they discontinued putting them on the bikes. A company called "Bill Matthews" sold these a few years before schwinn put them on the krates.

Hi,I had a February '68 Orange Krate with an original pogo post. I read they discontinued them late in that year.

Same info here, 68 Krates were the only ones that came with them unless you bought them as an accessory.

For someone trying to restore a 68 from scratch they are one of the hard to find pieces of the puzzle, hence the high ebay prices.
