liner trike???

someone tell me if i'm nuts....
i've got a 24" boys spaceline frame/fork that's been in the garage for almost a year now just waiting for me to have some inspiration to build it.
today i found a 24" girls trike in a local antique shop for a fair price.
my first thought was to buy it an put the rear on the liner.
has anyone built a liner trike?
i'd just hate to spend a bunch of time and effort to build a bike that will end up goofy lookin'
