I bought a Sunlite springer for my Wally World Columbia build and it seemed too stiff for my liking. I decided to machine some new rockers to move the axle mounts forward and off of the sprung fork similar to how an HD springer works. I turned some beefy oil-lite bronze bushings for the pivot points also.
It worked out great! Softer ride, and it lowered the front end about 3/4".

Nice work! I just sold the Monark repro springer I had to friend because top inside edge wouldn't clear the 3" tire I wanted to use. I'll bet moving it forward would give me the clearance I needed. If you ever decide to make a few more of these, I might buy a set and another fork!

I don't know if this would help on a Monarch, it lowered the front end almost as much as it moved it forward. I think I could fit a 3 inch tire in this Sunlite though.
