It's not a bicycle, and its not even pedal powered, let alone a "rat",..but it's still cool...

is that a custom, or an off the shelf body? i really need one, but i can only really dream about it here in england. very very kool (yes with a 'k') much respect to you, or whoever built it

It's new to me,....but I guess the build is about 2+ years old according to some google sources.
Aside from a few pics I couldn't find any specific build info.

There was a site that was discussing bodies for pedal car/kart projects that had some links but nothing specific to this gravity racer.

My guess is its a one off fiberglass shell that was done very well.

EDIT: Check these out: http://www.prestigetoygift.com/birthday_ gift_idea.html

I do not know if this is sacrilegious or not but could you hook an engine up to it? What a fun go cart that would be.

That was built at Boyd Coddington's shop, Thomas built and raced it. It was shown on an episode of American Hotrod. It was all green then. He did pretty well against some stiff factory competition like Volvo, and some other big name car factories. I think he placed around 10th, which I thought was good considering what he was up against. Dean
