Cool bike. Seat's a bit to new for me. And how do you ride with those bars like that? I always wonder why people put em up like that, doesnt look comfortable. Just askin, if its what ya like then carry on and do your thing. 8)

You must be TALL. I see the seat is up a ways also. I couldn't sit on your bike, being 5'5" myself. Also explains why I wouldn't get why the bars are so high. Lol. Still looks like you would be uncomfortable gripping the bars.

That is known as the "DX'' Frame , i love the way the two top bars curve the same way.
but i believe your frame would be later .if it was a 39 the rear drop outs would face out ward.

It maybe older? What year was that change? I did not know that and was only going by the serial number and from what I understood of that data base. Here is a pic if anyone can tell me the year that would be great.

I think the Frame change was after World War 2 ended. 1941 may have been the last year for PreWar. It's also possible 1942 could've been it too, as the USA didn't enter the war until right after we were attacked Dec.7th 1941. Not really sure? I bet someone on here knows and will school us.

Well I found something saying the c frames were 1930 something to 1942 and from the number on there I thought 1939. Obviously I was wrong. The bike did have a skip tooth setup and here is a pic of the head badge if anyone could help more.

OK I did more research and I guess the skip tooth heart chain wheels were as late as 1954 and since this had one on it I guess it is a 1952.

I read somewhere that 30's serial numbers were stamped by hand so they are not lined up properly but after the war they were machine stamped and more uniform.
