I found myself with some extra time after graduating college and I found this bike in my parents garage. It was my Dad's during college. Found out it is a 1953 from serial number, What years are the Chicago years? Couldn't read "Chicago" on badge.
Anyways, thanks RATRODBIKES.com for all the inspiration and advice.

I don't think it is done yet. I wanna put a back fender about 120 degrees. I also want to get some black springer forks and paint the beehive springs white. maybe some black handle bars. Oh well I'll have to wait for some more cash.

Nice and simple. your chainguard looks great.

Schwinn produce bike in Chicago until 1982.

Thanks guys, I had a blast doing this. I have more ideas, and things I would like to do but I don't know if it is my general desire to keep messing with a bike. When I get some more cash I'll decide if I'll buy more parts or start a whole new project!

I do need to buy a set of new forks because the steering tube has a vertical break in it. Paint the springs white
