Hi all, Ray here. Loving this forum! I'm 15 and have been into custom bikes for a long time now so I thought I had better build one of my own.

Being 15 with no job means I'm not exactly made of money so fter receiving my Bratz lowrider for 37 quid on ebay, I quickly set about making it my own! The plans were:

*Green banana seat with tall chrome sissy bar

*Black paint with green pin-stripes

*Black pedals and green grips

*General tidy up with the chrome and whitewalls

Then after a few changes to get the idea of what will look like:

I then began to strip it down for painting.

I used T-cut scratch remover to clean up the chrome and bathroom cleaner on the whitealls, it worked really well!

I painted the frame with my dad.I wanted the clips going to the back brake removed as it would spoil the look of the pin-striping. I will let the pics do the talking ;D

Gave them a quick skim of filler and gave it a wet and dry.

Next up was the pin-striping! I decided to go for white and green as one color would look to solid.

Then hit the whole bike with satin-black and clear lacquer.

Then started re-assembling the bike.

Put it all together into this!

I have been on holiday in America which supplied me with a few cool bits for the lowrider.
Managed to get an American dollar note bandanna for the frame and some dollar decals. I have fitted the casino dice, quite pleased with the result actually as they are a lot bigger than normal dice caps. I managed to find a cool chrome horn and fitted my green iron cross grips.
my latest mods are:
- Chrome mirrors
- J2O bottle on sissybar
- Iron cross on fender
- Dice
- Yellow front light, rear sissybar light
- Green lights under fenders, I will get some night pics soon

Hi. The seat is from Ridelow UK but I upholstered the leopard one on the red bike myself from the original purple one it came with. The green and black bike was £37 but only round the corner so no need for shipping. I got an even better deal on the red one. I paid £30 for the bike which again was only around the corner. I then re-covered the seat with some fabric from a mate for free (he owns a trimming company), added some £1.99 grips and £1.99 iron cross dust caps and painted the bike in some red paint left over from my dad's Cortina and a can of Rover Beige he already had. All in all the bike cost me about £34. I have recently sold the bike for £90! Result!! :)

The look good, I bought about 5 of those purple bratz bikes and made a few minor changes and sold them for 120.00 each. I think I dumped about 30.00 per bike and only paid 20.00 each for them.

Very Well done :D I wish I could have done that well when I was 15. Keep up the good work

Thanks to your thread on the Bratz lowrider I've joined the forum, you've done a great job on your bikes which has inspired me to do mine.
Again I got my "Bratz" cheap and local on ebay

Yeah those Bratz bikes are the best bang for the buck! I did one couple years ago and I'm sitting on another one now. Great Job!! Great color combination w/ the off white stripe to break it up.

I'm about to pick up a Bratz bike to custom.....am I am paying over the odds at £80 ?

Depends what sort of condition it's in and what you want to do with the bike?, especially the chromework....I paid £57 for mine and was in quite good nic and the chrome has polished up nicely.......even so £80 still a bargain for a lowrider with potential....buy it and enjoy
I will buy another as soon as one comes up on ebay near me
Mine is about finished and I will be putting up pictures on here soon in a new link.
