New Project x2 - Both receiving the 24x3 Treatment
Rat ....... back again for some more fun.
I may make another thread for each individual bike and their progress, but for now (I'm too excited) here's a quick thread just to share with ya'll.
Like the title says, both bikes are gonna receive the 24x3 treatment. Front and Rear. The design for each bike is already implanted in my head... now to execute.
First bike is a prewar schwinn straight bar. Test fitted both frames for tire clearance. There's room with the prewar frame, but I may need to add spacers to the bottom bracket (2-3mm) just to be safe. We'll see once I get that far.
Second is a '58 schwinn. This frame took some spacing to fit the tire. Probably a good 3-4mm on each side of the wheel to pull apart the swing arms and slide the tire in. Check the pics. Clearance is close, real close... but as long as there is zero rubbing. Im happy. It's all part of modding these bikes
Not the best picture, but the clearance is the same on each side, top and bottom.
If the picture dont work after a while... you can click them here.
