Hello, Just found the site and LOVE it!
I have just started to be interested in old banger bikes ...which is good because it seems my Rat Rod '29 Ford will NEVER be finished due to financial reasons
I was working last week and passed an antique store with a bunch of old rusted bikes out front. This old Schwinn cruiser caught my eye more than the Western Flyers and Huffy Bikes so I bought it for fifty bucks and took it home. The fenders were once Chrome and rusted terribly so I removed them and I also replaced the seat and did some cleanup along with replacing the chain. Not quite as customized as many I see on here but I HOPE to find and even older bike and try that next. ....even thinking of going in the woods and looking for my old '78 Huffy Bandit as a possible future project.
