Well, it's not a restoration but it will make an 8 year old girl really happy for her birthday.
Her mom (a friend of mine) wanted me to find her a Schwinn for her birthday. I ended up finding this baby blue 1974 Lil Chik for $35.
As it started.
It had a random chinese rear wheel and a wald front hub. Unfortunately the wheels didn't match so it was time to get rid of them. I picked up a cheap girls Huffy with yellow wheels to go on there along with some tires I got from a free trailer.
I had our painter at work lay down the purple powder coat for me. The seat had been recovered once, and it was definitely required for a second time. Now it's time to start getting it put back together.
Of course it just HAD to have a classic styling white basket with flowers. And you can't go wrong with purple glitter grips and streamers.
