Well I thought I would throw in my hat for the build off and as the title says this build will be one peice at a time since it is my Dailey raider and lack of funds...
So as I was sitting at SickKids waiting for my daughter to get out of her MRI I thought I would take a pic of some stuff I am using near the end of the build

Another Hot-Rod themed build..?? It's one of the best themes there is. Can't go wrong. Good luck, and at one piece at a time for three months - you'll have no problem finishing it up!

I can't imagine seeing my child going through MRIs.. Stay strong!

Taking my little boy to a specialist tomorrow, it sure is stressful.

Can't wait to see the rest of the pieces!

Giving up a prayer for all the kids. I know how that goes and how it can really, really bring you down. I've been there myself (and am there right now with one of my daughters).

I will say even with all the horrible trips to the hospitals I have to say i wouldn't trade it for all the vintage bikes in the world cause every trip means I get to spend that much more time with my little monster..... And I know all the dads/moms here feel the sameway...

Leaving for Duke Children's Hospital, stressful but we know everything is going to be ok. The cool thing for me about out of town trips is that other cities actually *have* bike shops unlike this one.

I have a headlight I am puting on the bike I am converting it from and old generater lamp to and LED but I have know where to store the batteries so I thought why not build a tank I have lots of scrap 2x6 laying around so I grabbed three peices and started getting a general shape....

There will be lots of shaping going on I am hoping to get it to look like an old board tracker tank

I like to drive down the lakeshore that runs beside lake Ontario from Toronto to Hamilton it's a nice drive and and. Eats the crazyness of the highway but the other reason I take it is because there is over a dozen bike shops on that stretch of road

So the kido is taking a nap so I have some free time to play so I went threw my box of goodies and got out some stuff to make my headlight....

I got a little excited and didn't get take any b4 pics but I figure it's self explanatory...

"and it didn't cost me a dime. you'll know it's me when i come through your town". great stuff. have fun with it.

I haven't had much time to do another with my build I have started a few projects like making a fo-tank and modifying a fork but they are just in the early stages

I need to collect a couple more part and the head tube was a week short so I had to cut it and make an extension peace which I forgot to get a picture of.

The tank is going to take a little bit of work and time I cut out the area to hold the battery and then glued the peaces so now I have to wait for it to dry and then I can cut it and shape it to fit the frame.

This will be the first time I have ever tried making a tank out of wood I am hoping when I am done it will look like I made it out of metal.

I also found some old rusty fenders that looked like they got ran over by a truck so I trimmed them down and threw them on the bike to see how they looked I think they will turn out quite nicely once I strip them down and paint them

I also had painted a seat awhile ago and really like the look of it. I think it goes with the theme I am going for.

She is doing good thanks kingfish..

I just hope I can get some of the harder stuff done I think the tank and fork will look great if I can pull them off....

I love the components you have assembled, and I really dig the idea of fabricating a tank out of wood. I can't wait to see how this all comes together!

(pssst...it's p•i•e•c•e)
